I felt compelled to post one more mock for your ridicule ...only because this is about the ultimate team to start the season with for me in 12 team PPR + flex league (picking from 3 spot):
1 - MJD
2 - R White (right or wrong, he's my #3 rated WR)
3 - Marshall (right or wrong, he's my #4 rated WR)
4 - Ochocinco (still have him as a top 20 WR)
5 - J Best
6 - H Nicks (estatic...sure he will rarely last this long, has potential to finish in top 10 WR's)
7 - Finely (I'm fine waiting for the Millers, but he was best value here)
8 - Kolb
9 - Forsett
10 - Big Ben
11 - J Harrison (no true #2 in Best, Forsett, and Harrison, but all 3 have upside and potential..and all seem to be #1 right now in their RBBC)
12 - Devin Thomas
13 - Giants D
14 - Buehler (lets just hope this guy can kick)
Any thoughts appreciated? For me the key is getting Hicks, Forsett, and Harrison, but thinking most times they'll be drafted where I got them here. If this is keeper, I'm especially satisfied.

| It's a great team. I think you've overrated White and Marshall, but the spots where you got them are about right. Love Forsett and Harrison where you got them. I guess I just doubt that you would get Kolb in RD8 in a real draft. I wouldn't feel comfortable waiting that long in a real draft to get my QB. Kolb has gone as early as RD5 in my mocks, and the average spot is mid-RD6. |

Yeah. I like this very much. I'm not as high on Roddy White as others. I'm assuming Wayne, Fitz and Austin were already off the board.
Really like the Best, Finley and Hicks picks. Kolb good value in 8. I probably would have chosen a different backup in case Kolb flops early and you don't have big Ben for the first 4-6 weeks. |

I agree on Kolb, generally pounce in round 7 and get him all the time, but have seen him go as early as 5th. His stock could rise with a solid showing in pre-season as well. I'm prepared to take Cutler or Ryan if that happens and then follow up with Ben, Henne, or Stafford at #2 and see what happens.
God I love drafting, even in mocks, that anticpation of rolling the dice and waiting on a guy to se if he slips one more round is one of the greatest highs (non death defying category).
Ya, all those WR's but Fitz was gone. I'm just as happy to have Fitz or Austin in that mix as well. My strategy is to get 2 of the top 8 WR's in rds 2-3)
Thanks for the Kolb/Ben food for thought...I hadn't really looked at it that way before, but you are exacly right. I just have a hard time imagining Philly not giving Kolb quite a few games to get his game straight even if he struggles the first few games. Could be way off, but Vick lurking just doesn't care me much. |
