10 Players Whose Values Decrease Based Solely on the 2011 Schedule
|
- Eli Manning, Giants, QB. Only the Bills encounter a tougher collection of defenses to pass against.
- David Garrard, Jaguars, QB. With the fans calling for Blaine Gabbert, Garrard's hands will be tied by a series of tough pass defenses.
- Adrian Peterson, Vikings, RB. A deteriorating defense and a tough schedule to run against will force the Vikings into a passing mode in 2011.
- Darren McFadden, Raiders, RB. No team has a schedule tougher to run against than the Raiders.
- Jamaal Charles, Chiefs, RB. The 2011 schedule is tough enough, but remember: Last year's cakewalk vastly overrated this guy.
- Beanie Wells, Cardinals, RB. He's not even a fulltime player on a team that will have to throw a lot more than it runs this season.
- Pierre Thomas, Saints, RB. When Drew Brees goes up against one of the 10 softest schedules in terms of pass defenses, why would you run the ball?
- Brandon Marshall, Dolphins, WR. Substandard quarterback, lack of a quality sidekick, tough schedule to pass against: It all adds up to a long season for the temparmental star.
- Steve Johnson, Bills, WR. Even before it gets awfully cold in Buffalo, the Bill passing game figures to struggle against the league's toughest set of pass defenses.
- Ron Gronkowski, Patriots, TE. The Pats have many passing options and a much easier schedule to run against, but the 2010 surprise will have a hard time repeating.
